The first event of the series is in the books now, and Saskatoon’s Ryan Smith emerged the winner after a short heads-up battle against Harold Hinds. Smith dominated the final table with aggression, holding a big stack for much of the final phase.
The win was another step in what has been a solid 2022 for Smith. This was his 15th cash since Jan 1, and put him over the $1 million mark in Hendon Mob earnings.
It was Smith’s first Circuit Ring, but he’s no stranger to deep runs and wins. This latest came after a win in the opening Pure Poker Tour earlier this year, and a 3rd place deal for more than $16k in the PLO Main Event at the most recent Spring Super Stack here at Deerfoot Inn & Casino.
