After a massive opening flight on Day 1a that saw almost 130 entries by the end of registration, the prospect for Day 1b looks good. Day 1a action has already put more than $35,000 into the prize pool with two starting days yet to go.

Day 1b gets going at noon on Friday, and once again there will be 11 levels of late registration. The only difference between 1a and 1b is when dinner occurs – for 1b and 1c, the dinner break will come at the end of Level 11, instead of Level 8.

Players will start the day with 20,000 in chips and play 30-minute blind levels throughout the day. Everyone in action on 1b will be looking to the big stack of Day 1a chip leader Luke Waldner, chasing his 427k.

Day 1b promises to be even bigger than the opening flight, so there’s every reason to believe the prize pool will be in the $80k-$100k range by the time 1b closes, and it seems almost certain that by the time 1c closes on Saturday, the prize pool will be well over $100k. The only question at this point is how big it can get.
